SALUTATIONS:
Wow! The new year is already here, and with all that it entails I forgot to post your monthly dose of Novel News!
What a whirlwind December was! I do hope you and your families enjoyed the holidays. Mine, well we had to say goodbye to a loved one, which did mar the festivities. Yet, we celebrated her life and the hope that we will see her again one day!
I want to encourage you all to remember that through God’s providence we will continue to persevere through any and all of life’s hardships. I pray that by the grace of God, our Father, that we all continue in the our common faith placed solely in our Lord, Jesus Christ. Always remember that no matter what the world throws at you, “He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
As usual, I am thrilled to be sharing what God is doing through my writing! Get ready for some more Novel News!
NEW BOOK/NEW GENRE?
Like I’ve said previously, many of you are probably tired of my excuses regarding my lack of progress on the next book set in the Kingdom of Alethia. I still have not made much progress on this project, we shall see what this new year holds. For the past several months my attention has been predominantly focused on my students and other collegiate responsibilities. That, and I am afraid any writing efforts have been diverted to a new project.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have focused my writing attention on a mystery/detective novel. Over the past several months or so, the book has come along quite well. In fact, I am still shocked at how much this novel seems to be writing itself. Over the holiday, with some of my limited free time, I was able to come to within a few chapters of the end of the novel. I’m hoping to complete the first draft in the first quarter and begin working on the second shortly thereafter, which means the novel could be released as early as sometime this year.
For those who are more interested in the new Alethia book, rest assured that I do fully intend to eventually get back to that novel. So please stay tuned…

Continued blessings upon all of your writing endeavors. Remember: “The world does not need more Christian literature. What it needs is more Christians writing good literature.” — C. S. Lewis
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
